Bio
Steven is an East Tennessee native, who graduated with his BFA, with emphasis in ceramics, from ETSU in 2018. Steven’s work is heavily influenced by living in a world in need of unity and community. He finds inspiration for his work in science fiction, as well as historical and contemporary efforts towards space exploration. Their work has been featured in The Art Of Planetary Science, an annual juried art show, and has received awards for their work and have been featured in various exhibitions nationally. They are a member of both the International Association of Astronomical Artists and Tennessee Craft. Dorton currently works from their home studio in East Tennessee.
